Bed alarms to help ease stress in hospice care

Since 2005 Marion Hospice has been a safe haven for people needing end of life care. A sense of home and comfort fill this small 12-bed facility, complementing the compassion and emotional support provided for patients, family and friends.

Ensuring the highest level of comfort and care possible at Marion Hospice is ongoing. Right now you can help by supporting Tapestry Foundation’s most urgent priority for the site – the purchase of bed alarms.

Hospice patients often experience confusion and become anxious. In that state they often attempt to get out of bed unassisted, risking falls that could harm them. These situations create additional distress for the patient as well as family members. Bed alarms are designed to go off when a patient’s weight is not on the bed, alerting nursing staff to come to their assistance.

Your support of these alarms will help ensure the safety of our patients at all times. That means greater peace of mind for everyspacerone.
