Putting the bloom back in the garden
A garden renovation project set to begin promises to indulge the five senses of every resident at Brock Fahrni Pavilion.
Tapestry Foundation for Health Care is collaborating with generous community funders to bring new life to an existing, deteriorating garden space at Brock Fahrni. The 20-year old garden and patio area is being transformed and will include pathways for safe and easy wheelchair access, a greenhouse suitable for use in all seasons, wheelchair accessible planters, private visiting spaces, child friendly features, new patio furniture and of course lots of lush new plants.
The Brock Fahrni Garden Project is expected to cost $250,000 to make it a safe, easily accessible and pleasurable environment for residents – and you can help make it a reality.
With construction scheduled to begin in September 2010, Tapestry Foundation is looking for donations to complete this project. Through generous donations from the Legion Foundation, the Vancouver Poppy Fund, many Royal Canadian Legion Branches and residents of Brock Fahrni, the Foundation has raised more than $100,000 towards the costs of renovating the garden.
Help us reach our fundraising goal on this important project.
