read more... Yes. Tapestry Foundation is a registered charity authorized by the Canada Revenue Agency to issue receipts for income tax purposes. The Foundation issues receipts for:

read more... While tax dollars pay for basics health care costs, additional costs to upgrade equipment or to fund specialized services must be found elsewhere.
Your donations help fill the gap between government funding and the greater needs of our hospitals and residences. Donations support purchases of medical equipment, programs, services, research and education. Donations provide medical professionals the tools they need to provide the best possible care for patients and residents.
5. Can I direct my gift to a specific department or area with in a residence or hospital?

read more... Yes. Monthly giving is an effective way to help Tapestry Foundation save on administrative costs. Sign up for our Monthly Giving Program with an
online donation form. You can also make arrangements by phone by calling 604.877.8335. You will have the option of setting set up your monthly donation by VISA, or MasterCard. Tapestry Foundation will issue one tax receipt for all your monthly donations at the end of the calendar year.
9. Can I make a gift of publicly-traded securities or mutual funds instead of cash or credit card?
read more... Yes, you can donate individual securities OR mutual fund shares directly to Tapestry Foundation. In fact, there two tax advantages for donating this ways:
• You would still receive a charitable tax receipt for the full amount of the donation resulting in a tax credit to offset taxes owing, AND
• Any capital gain on your donated shares will be tax exempt if the shares are donated directly to Tapestry Foundation. Should you first cash in the shares first and then donate the cash, 50% of the capital gain would be taxable.
