Records fundraising ushers in Year of the Dragon
By all accounts it was the best Feast yet, with a final count of $410,000 raised for Mount Saint Joseph (MSJ) Hospital.
On January 27, more than 650 people swelled the ballroom of The Westin Bayshore Hotel to support the purchase of a sterilizer unit, nerve integrity monitor and pulmonary function system needed to meet higher standards of surgical care at MSJ.
Donors pledged generously towards the cause. Celebrity auctioneer Fred Lee rallied the crowd through an entertaining Live Auction, and music by The Piano Man rounded off the evening with everyone on the dance floor.
Since 2008 the Feast has raised more than $1.3 million for high-tech equipment, and helped establish innovative new health care services at MSJ including BC’s first Rapid Access Breast Clinic, and Heart and Elder Care Ambulatory Clinics.
If we missed you the 2012 event, you can still support us through an online donation.
