Mark your calendar for Friday, April 7, 2017 for the 14th annual Geriatric Services Conference. This year's theme Going Beyond: Explore. Engage. Evolve. takes place at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

In 2017 we’ll explore new ideas, the latest research and strategies for going beyond the status quo in older adult mental health. Plenary sessions and workshop discussions will include clinical and ethical issues and innovative knowledge translation. The Geriatric Services Conference offers high-caliber education for BC professionals to share and discuss research, best practices and health care ethics in the field of gerontology. Poster presentations support the 2017 conference theme Going Beyond: Explore. Engage. Evolve. They provide a great opportunity for delegates to share research and best practice initiatives in the field of aging, from health promotion to palliative care, with interdisciplinary colleagues from across the province.

CME Accreditation

The University of British Columbia Division of Continuing Professional Development (UBC CPD) is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CACME) to provide study credits for continuing medical education for physicians.  This course has been reviewed and approved by the UBC Division of Continuing Professional Development.  This Group Learning course meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by UBC CPD for up to 6.5 Mainpro+ credits. This course is an Accredited Group Learning Activity eligible for up to 6.5 MOC Section 1 credits as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Each physician should claim only those credits he/she actually spent in the activity.
